(AP) — Providence swingman Bryce Hopkins is out for the season with a torn left ACL suffered in the No. 23 Friars’ loss to Seton Hall on Wednesday night.“We all feel for Bryce and his family in this difficult time,” Providence coach Kim English said in a statement on Thursday. “We will be with him throughout this process to help him come back stronger than ever. We ask that all of Friartown keeps Bryce and his family in your thoughts and prayers.”Hopkins went down midway through the second half of the 61-57 loss and screamed in pain. PERRY, Iowa (WHO) – A gunman opened fire inside a small-town Iowa high school early Thursday as students prepared to start their first day of classes after their annual winter break, killing one person and wounding five others, authorities said.Seventeen-year-old student Dylan Butler is believed to have shot and killed a sixth grader inside Perry High school, and wounded four high school students and an administrator, according to Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation Asst. Crews in Tamarac battled fierce flames after a fire ignited in the garage of a home.Tamarac Fire Rescue units arrived at the home in the area of Northwest 46th Way and 44th Street, Thursday morning.Once at the scene, crews dealt with heavy, smoky conditions and cut a hole in the roof to safely extinguish the flames.
